An early 20th century Chinoiserie lacquered easel-back mantel clock, the arched case with decoration against a black ground enclosing a gilt chapter ring with Roman numerals centred by a vignette of a figure on a bridge by a pavilion, lever movement with French escapement (with key). 20cm by 19cm.
A French late 19th century patinated bronze and slate mantel clock, the drumhead white enamel dial with Roman numerals and signed "W. & H. Mitchell, Paris", the carved slate base with a mahogany foot (part detached but present) surmounted by a seated figure of Ulysses (unsigned), depicted holding a spear, a bundle of scrolls to his rear, eight day movement striking on a bell (with key and pendulum). Height 51cm, diameter of dial 10.5cm.

Extraordinary large French white Carrara marble glass mantel clock with gilded bronze fittings + decorations. Including; goat's legs, eagle heads, caryatids, tendrils, garlands and draperies. Circa 1850. Cie Anonieme des bronzes movement Deniere a Paris. Dimensions: 74 x 48 x 21 cm. In good condition. Original matching candlesticks are sold under catalogue number 2004.
