An attractive, probably continental porcelain mantel Clock, white ground and with vivid blue highlighted foliage and scrollwork, raised on three substantial feet simulating ocean waves and featuring four figures portraying the seasons, that on the right spring with flower garlands, to the top a lady in a summer bonnet (repaired/re-attached), autumn to the centre front with a sheaf of wheat and winter to the left, warming its hands over a flaming cupola. Small losses and firing marks. The timepiece having an enamelled face and wound & regulated from the front. Pendulum present, incorrect winder present (too large), 12 1/2'' wide x 16 3/4'' high, believed to require a service/lubrication as fully wound but not running. Serial no. 1447/55.
A metal cased Mantel Clock having a part gold and part black finished case surmounted by a kneeling figure of a fisher boy, the case with crossed oars and an anchor as well as marine plants and trailing ivy and inset with oval alabaster panels (one damaged), the movement by Japy Freres having Roman numerals and chiming on a bell, 16 1/2'' wide x 14 9/16'' high x 5 3/4'' deep. Pendulum and winder present. Minute hand retaining nut absent and some losses to reeds to upper back.
