19th century French gilt bronze and enamel mantel clock, Rollin Paris cylinder movement, the rectangular porcelain dial painted with a seated maiden in a garden with cherubs, Roman numeral chapter ring against a duck-egg blue ground, below a classical urn with painted porcelain body, further rectangular painted panels to the base, width 26cm, height 37cm.Condition report:Generally in very good condition, although it would benefit from a clean. There is a hairline crack to the front porcelain panel, plus some loss of gilding to the border. The back is discoloured. The rope thread on the right-hand bow is broken. The rope thread on the left-hand bow is missing. The bell and pendulum are present. We cannot test the springs. The clock winds freely but the hands aren't moving. A French decorative oval shaped glass and gilt mounted mantel clock, 23cm high. Condition - good, unchecked if workingGlasses good; embossed brass mask around sides and top a little loose making it appear that parts of the mount are missing at the base, but this is not so; one embossed brass feather from around dial detached and returned, as shown; with key. Movement not working, i.e. balance not rotating, attention needed; arbour needed to correct hands is difficult to engage - seems to be too close to one side.One piece of the brass applied decoration has broken away from the side of the dial.
