A Chinese twin fusee mantel clock, circa 1900, the white dial with Roman numerals and Arabic quarters, centre seconds, within a gilt brass surround with raised foliate scrollwork in relief, verge escapement movement signed with Chinese characters 'Li Deheng' to the backplate, all in a hardwood case with sliding front and back panels, on a separate shaped stand 42cm high overallplease see additional images of the movement. Currently working and striking. Dial and movement have been cleaned up.

A mahogany 'noctuary' or 'night watchman's' mantel clock, c.1850, the silvered dial with Roman numerals and foliate engraving, enclosing a chain-driven fusee movement striking on the half hours, mounted with a revolving disc set with twenty-four radial pillars, depressed by a knob on the top of the case, with a winding hole beneath the dial and a recessed brass carrying handle, mounted in a plain case with chamfered front edges, glazed sides and back, 25.5cm wide 17cm deep37cm high overallProvenance: The David Morris Collection.Condition ReportClock appears to tick and strike when wound, although we cannot guarantee that this represents full and complete working order. An antique 1910 French slate mantel clock garniture, in three pieces. The slate clock features an enamel chapter ring with Arabic numbering, two pillars on either side of the clock face with a figure centered on each one, and a rooftop with a gadrooned dome to the top. Brass detailing to the pillars and clock face, and plaque with the text 'Together with a purse of gold by the inhabitant of Brynce Thing Bryn Menyn & district in appreciation of his 22 years services as Postman and in other capacities Nov 4th 1910'. With two slate-pillared buildings to accompany, each with four pillars, a figure centered, and a rooftop with a gadrooned dome. Maker 'G. Williams'. Slate clock measuring approx. 38cm x 42cm. Late 19th century four-glass mantel clock by Seth Thomas with floral painted dial, cylinder movement striking on gong, simulated mercury adjustable pendulum in brass case with bevelled glazed panels, 27.5cm highThe clock winds and runs, it strikes the hours and half-hours correctly. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the timekeeping. The clock is in good condition commensurate with age, the enamel dial is in excellent condition, one glass side panel has damage to the bevelled edge. Overall in good condition.
