The clock depicts an artist in 16c dress and with his paintbox and oval painting standing on a swagged base. The clock element has a white enamel 8.5cm diam. dial with Roman numerals and is signed Henri Marc a Paris. The movement has countwheel striking on bell and silk pendulum suspension. The clock stands on a black oval wooden base, 38cm l overall. (Dome missing).

The embossed gilt 9cm diam dial has enamel numeral plaques with blue Roman numerals. The glazed aperture below the dial show the sunburst pendulum and the movement has countwheel striking on a bell.
