A c.1900 oak Arts and Crafts fourteen day mantel clock, the stepped rectangular case set with copper dial with Arabic numerals flanked by turned pillars and applied brass plaque, the door bearing label inscribed "H.A.C. 14 Day Strike" and a further retailers label "J.H. Heal, Newport, Isle of Wight", height 37.5cm.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE, TWO TRAIN MANTEL CLOCK, the case overall mounted with porcelain panels, painted with domestic scenes and river landscape, and being surmounted by a large vase shaped finial over a porcelain face with Roman numerals on a step base. The base marked: John Walker, Regent St., London. French brass drum movement, striking on one bell. Overall 40cm high, approx. CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, a little grubby and dusty but no obvious damage or losses, includes key, not tested. No pendulum.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE FIGURAL TWO TRAIN MANTEL CLOCK, the case surmounted by a reclining Classical female above white enamel face with Roman numerals flanked by two painted porcelain cherub panels, overall with scrolled and foliate motifs, on a scroll moulded serpentine wooden platform base. The clock 36cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Crazing and cracking to the face, wear to gilding generally, movement not tested.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH ARCHITECTURAL ORMOLU MANTEL CLOCK, the case surmounted by ram's head and swag mounted urn over an arch pediment with pineapple finials, circular enamelled face with Roman numerals, above two painted French porcelain panels on a platform base with bun feet. Two train drum movement striking on one bell, together with a gilded wooden plinth. The clock 36cm high. CONDITION REPORT: General surface wear to the case, no significant damage or losses, movement and face are loose within the case. Plinth base has significant losses to and wear to gesso and gilding.
A 19th Century black slate and agate inlaid mantel clock with Brocot escapement and two subsidiary dials: thermometer and barometer. L37cm Condition - minor chip to right corner, general wear to include scratches to glass and generally quite dirty, around the back: one subsidiary dial cover missing, the other cracked, hinge just hanging on for main dial, comes with pendulum but no key, does not appear to be running.
