A mid 19th century eight day French ormolu mantel clock with fine chased and burnished scroll work. The case surmounted with a figure of lady in period costume playing a harp, on scroll feet, height 60cm. The movement is a round plated French rack striking type, playing on a single cast bell. The dial of white enamel has blue and gold edged Roman numerals and is marked "Jean le Gallais - Jersey".

Wood dowel feet. Very dirty and would benefit from a clean. Dial with several cracks. There is a key. There is no pendulum. There is a bell at the back of the clock.
