A quantity of RAF ephemera including pilot's clothing relating to 'Pilot II C H Evans', RAF, various black and white photographs, the Air Ministry of Defence handbooks including a 'Royal Air Force Pilots Flying Manual - Restricted Edition', a letter of recognition from the secretary of state for air, 'by the King's order the name of Pilot no. II C H Evans, RAF, was published in the London Gazette on the 8th of June 1950, as commended for valuable service in the air, charged to record His Majesty's high appreciation', papers for the the RAF entry examination for aircraft apprentices (1938), further handbooks mostly restricted, flight engineer's notes, notebooks for bombing theory and armaments, each with diagrams, various pilot related manuals and papers for air raids, bombing and distress, a small quantity of black and white photographs of a fighter pilot, five handwritten diaries of said pilot's experiences during war and travels and much more RAF related ephemera, also a pilot's leather flying helmet with goggles and rubber breathing mask and RAF wings for Evans 26657G99RX, a small quantity of personal letters written from abroad and various RAF stations and a mid-20th century oak cased eight day mantel clock, the dial set with Arabic numerals, with metal plaque presented by the officers and SNCO's of 617 SQN RAF to Sgt C Evans 23/11/1951.

A japanned pagoda-topped mantel clock, the silvered chapter ring set with Roman and Arabic numerals, with French movement stamped 'C G Vincent', striking on a coil, the case decorated with a butterfly, crane and figures within geometric borders, one of the side panels depicting a woman playing a stringed instrument, the other with a gentleman holding a staff, on a plinth base with bun feet, height 35cm. CONDITION REPORT No provenance available, from an estate. Not currently in working order. Some age-related wear to the case. Chinoiserie raised decoration appears intact, clear colours. Some loss of gilding in small areas. Silvered chapter ring has areas of scratching and wear. Pendulum present.
