A French Sevres style porcelain and gilt metal mantel clock, combining associated late 19th century elements, with eight-day bell striking movement stamped to the backplate for the SCHERER, PARIS, and serial numbered 6708, with white enamel Roman numeral dial escribed SCHERER to the centre, in a case with urn and pineapple pattern finials above panels decorated with cherubs and birds the case with stamped serial number 6084, 38cm high overall Condition Report: The case with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, the finial to the urn is a replacement, the surface with losses to the gilt - the gilt a different tone to the remainder of the case. the gilt to the main body of the case with some wear and pitting to surface. The feet also appear to be later associated to the clock overall. The dial with cracks and splits, and crazing. The ceramic panels with wear and losses to the gilt surfaces and decoration. No serious damage noted to the ceramic panels. No glass to the bezel and nothing to the rear to protect the movement. With an associated key, and the pendulum likewise associated - the serial number to this (1051) not matching any other elements. The interior of the bell with written inscriptions. Dreweatts have not tested the movement nor can we give any guarantees to being working order or make any comments as to longevity. A French gilt metal and alabaster mantel clock, the fluted barrel beside a maiden reading from a book above a shaped rococo base, the white enamelled dial with black Roman numerals, 36cm high.Condition report: Movement does not wind or run, there is no pendulum. Front alabaster panel appears to have been re-stuck. Figure to the top appears to have been re-stuck. Dial is fair with some slight nibbling around the wind hole.

Large antique slate mantel clock, decorated in the classical style with brass columns, figures and friezes, 46.5cm width, including key and pendulumCondition report: 44cm long x 17.5cm deep x 38.5cm high. Gilding to dial is worn. Metal mounts have ingrained polish and dirt. Case has some minor chips around it. Clock will wind and appears to run, key and pendulum present. We cannot guarantee it's operation or timekeeping however.
Gustav Becker chiming mantel clock in stained mahogany case with brass stringingCondition report: There is a pendulum present but not a key. We have used a key we have in order to wind the clock however it does not run and the chime, whilst moving does not make a sound. The case is in good order overall, with just overall age related wear and marks. Some of the brass stringing is lifting slightly. The silvered dial is in good order also, just again with some slight marks. Please see additional photographs.
