Fine quality late 19th/early 20th century Charles Frodsham mantel clock with eight day, twin fusee movement and engraved lever escapement, striking on a bell, backplate signed W & H Sch. Silvered engine turned dial, with Breguet style hands, signed Chas. Frodsham. London. In a gilt metal case with reeded pilasters and engine turned decoration, star cut oval glazed side panels, bevelled top glass and reeded carrying handle, on splayed bracket feet. (Key present) 17cm wide x 28cm overall height.Condition report: Good original condition . The case retains approx 95% of its original gilding and the movement runs well and strikes on the hours, although it has not been tested for its time keeping. The back of the case does not open so there is no access to the movement apart from taking the case apart.
