Achille Brocot (1817-1878) French mantel clockin ormolu case, encasing a white enamel dial with black enamel Roman numerals, the dial marked 'Achille Brocot', the back of the movement plate is stamped '5433-13.1', standing on four bun feet, 34cm high overall x 31cm wide overall approxStrikes on the hour and half past the hour. No key. Overall wear, some marks, scratches and display wear, consistent with age and use. Cracks and some discolouration to the dial. Some scratches to the glass doors on both front and back. We cannot guarantee this clock is working, so we would recommend having this clock serviced if you are successful in purchasing this lot.

A 19th century French rococo revival ormolu mantel clock and garniture set. The clock decorated with scrollwork and featuring an enamel face with hand painted Roman numerals, with gilt decoration, accompanied with a pair of pierced vases. With pendulum and key. Clock measures approx: 50cm tall.
Good quality silver and tortoiseshell mantel clock with 8 day striking movement, the circular white enamel dial in silver and tortoiseshell case with finely inlaid silver decoration. William Comyns, London 1912. Height 20.5cm.Recently the clock has been professionally fully serviced and overhauled by Chris Papworth of Kelvedon Clocks. The clock is now running well and in good original condition commensurate with age. The enamel dial is in perfect condition. There is a crack to the tortoiseshell panel in the top left hand corner. The silver case is in good condition with minor dents and wear commensurate with age.
Late 19th century French mantel clock by Henri Marc of Paris, the striking movement with silk suspension pendulum, engine turned silvered dial in floral marquetry inlaid rosewood case, with key and pendulum, 24cm high.General overall condition is good, movement is clean and appears to be in working order, although we have not had it running for any period. Silvered dial is dirty and has a black surface mark between II and III. Case is good, no marquetry missing but some marks and overall surface dirt, LH side panel is slightly warped and has a small gap at bottom right corner. Rear door veneer has a crease from top to bottom and is lifting at the edges. Gilt handle is dirty.

The clock with Sèvres-style porcelain dial and urn surmount, the gilt metal case on a giltwood and gesso plinth, 43cm, under a glass dome with ebonised plinth, overall 56cm. Key and pendulum present.General overall condition very good, movement is clean and free and appears to be in working order, athough we have not had it running, dial is good, no chips or cracks to enamel. Case is very good, gilding is very clean, shiny in places, top of urn is loose and not on straight, plinth is worn and chipped in places, dome is good, no cracks or chips.
