A 19th century Gothic Revival French bronze eight day mantel clock. Set with Sevres style panels. Housing a cylinder movement stamped Pert Bally, Brevette, Paris, 32cm. Condition Report. A late 19th century French mantel clock, the 9.5 cm diameter dial with Roman numerals, fitted an eight day movement, stamped CHLES MT/18533, in a gilt brass and champlevé enamel case, with a visible pendulum, flanked by a pair of cherubs holding flaming torches, 44 cm high, on a stand and a dome base, 53 cm high (overall), with a glass dome (a.f.) See inside back cover colour illustration Condition report With champlevé enamel pendulum and a winding key, no back door Report by GH Dome is present but broken. Clock is generally good with the enamel in good condition and no obvious major damages or repairs. Some tarnishing to brass, and some chipping to gilt gesso base. Key and pendulum present.
