A mantel clock, the 10.5 cm arched square silvered dial with Roman numerals, fitted an eight day movement, in an ebonised case, inlaid with brass, 37 cm high See inside back cover colour illustration Condition report With pendulum and keyReport by GHSome light dents and veneer cracks to case. Wood joints parting on the left hand corner of the plinth and a small veneer loss to the right hand corner of the plinth. Both chamfered edges of the door lacking their inlay. Movement nice and clean and appears to be complete with key and pendulum. Overall presents well commensurate with age.Report by RBOverall an attractive clock. The silvered dial is ever so slightly discoloured, the movement appears clean, rather dirty and dusty, has probably had some work on it fairly recently, the arm which strikes on the gong has a solder repair, the case has a few minor splits, the cut brass is slightly raised around the door key hole, and to the left and right of the door, where the corners are canted, I suspect this originally had brass inlay which is now missing. A couple of small areas of veneer missing. From a local deceased's estate, it now requires minor repair and restoration.
