The birth of the boy in 1820 was the reason for the creation of this clock, designed by Jean Andre Reiche. A late 19thC French mahogany cased balloon mantel clock, circular dial bearing Roman numerals, movement by Duverdry & Bloquel, the case with brass and mother of pearl inlay, raised on four brass bun feet. 26cm high. On initial inspection the case has tight cracks across the top of the barrel casing. The dial has edge staining, particularly between I & II. No key, and unable to advise on working order as per our terms & conditions.
