*** RE OFFER JULY £100-200*** An English brass mantel clock with French movement by J Edmonds, 668 Gt Baker Street, London, engraved on the dial. The front of the case is engraved 'From two old friends' on one side and MDCCCLXXXII ( 1882) on the other, above columns. A lovely clock with good casting of griffin-style birds on the front and bearded winged gargoyles on each side. Finials to top corners and top (missing). Twin train movement striking on a bell. Dial 4.5". Case 11" x 16" x 6.5" deep. Condition report: Good original condition, just central finial missing on top of case. Looks to be a presentation piece. Retailed perhaps by J.D. Edmonds
A French state mantel clock Lloyd Payne & Amiel Paris. Two train movement chiming on a gong. Two-piece dial, 4.5" in diameter. Slate case with brass reeded columns and Roman frieze above dial. 16.5" x 13" x 6". Condition report: Original condition small hairline crack above 12" on dial with kay. Some minor scratches due to age.

A French gilt brass mantel clock, circa 1890-1900, with vase finial and moulded ring handles, the case cast with neoclassical mouldings and raised on four acanthus moulded feet, the 4-inch (10cm) off-white enamel dial having black Arabic numerals around a gilt metal pierced centre roundel, the eight day Japy Freres movement striking on a bell, numbered 17903 with matching number to pendulum, 39.5cm high.Case fair to good with some surface scratches and wear to plates. Moulded elements are good with some minor wear to gilding. Dial appears good. Movement winds, runs and strikes but not tested for timekeeping or longevity.
