A most impressive 19c. mahogany and painted glass tavern mantel clock of large form headed with an eagle and orb finial, the circular dial with Arabic numerals and winding hole, held up by part pierced scrolls and a tapering gilt highlighted painted glass stem the lower section revealing pendulum and decorated with scenes of Mount Vernon in a mahogany backed case. 88cms high.
Henry Marc, Paris-a mid 19c. rosewood part inlaid and ebonised mantel clock, the rectangular dial with two winding holes and Roman numerals beneath a scroll carrying handle with pierced baton pointers and (unmarked) striking movement, the whole raised on squat feet. 17cms wide, 12cms deep, 23cms high.
An Edwardian mahogany mantel clock, with brass finial to caddy top, the rectangular case being satinwood banded, boxwood and ebony strung, with circular glazed door enclosing the enamelled dial with Arabic numerals and with two-train movement by K. Perkin & Sons, Paris, with oval fan medallion, brass carrying handle to either side and raised on three short metal feet. Width 8 ins, height 13.5 ins (see illustration).
