D. to backplate and with circular white enamel Roman numeral dial signed PAYNE & Co., 163 New Bond Street, LONDON to centre, the case with polychrome and gilt floral painted gilt metal mounted urn surmount and pineapple finials above half-round horticultural motif painted panel uprights within leaf cast borders to sides, the front with twin cherub powder-blue ground painted shaped panel beneath dial and further conforming panel to the plinth base, on disc feet, 36cm high, with a pair of gilt metal three-branch candelabra inset with similar panels, each 40cm high, (3). Vincenti, Paris, A French 'four glass' mantel clock, the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half hours on a gong with a twin tube mercury compensating pendulum, the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker Vincenti et Cie, the two-piece white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, decorative blued steel hands and the visible dead beat escapement, having a Corniche style brass 'four glass' case with glazed sides, height 30cm. *Vincenti et Cie are recorded as working at Rue d'Anjou au Marcus, Paris from 1850 as makers of roulant blancs and complete clocks.
