WW2 2nd Pattern Etched Blade Fairburn-Sykes Commando Fighting Knife6 3/4 inch, double edged blade.  The forte with etched "Wilkinson Sword Ltd London" logo.  The reverse with "F-S Fighting Knife" shield.  Oval, steel crossguard.  Brass checkered grip and ball pommel nut.  Contained in its leather scabbard with blackened square tip chape.  Scabbard retains its leather tabs and elastic retaining strap.

The hilt with nickel grip of checkered design, this has been personalised by two concentric rings to the base near the crossguard. Double edged spear point blade, the forte with etched panel Wilkinson Sword Ltd. London, the reverse side the F-S Fighting Knife. Recurved crossguard. Housed in an early pattern, brown leather scabbard with nickel rounded chape. Tailored with elasticated retaining strap, tangs period removed. The overall condition is good clean bright, with minor age wear. Blade length 17.5cm The scabbard is the type for second pattern 1st type dagger and was commonly used in conjunction with the 1st type dagger

1827 Pattern Rifles Officer's Sword By Wilkinson32 1/2 inch, dumbell blade with central fuller.  Etched Victorian crowned coat of arms over cypher and foliage panes.  Entwined owner's initials.  The forte with maker "Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London".  Back edge numbered 38719.  Steel guard with Kings crown strung bugle cartouche.  Plain steel pommel and checkered backstrap.  Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding.  Contained in its steel scabbard with two hanging rings.  Some plating loss.

Poster LMS GOLF IN NORTHERN IRELAND THE 8TH GREEN AT PORTRUSH by Norman Wilkinson RI. Quad Royal 40in x 50in. In good condition with small areas of loss and has been folded, however the colours are bright. A must for the golfing collector with 1930's period players and equipment. We have found one other example of this rare poster that was sold in 2007 for 19k and that had loss, was faded and repaired.

This book is mooted as the first outing for one of Louis Wain's composite cat caricatures, 'A Night in Town,' although his 'Kittens Christmas Party' had appeared in the Illustrated London News in 1886. The book is a useful snapshot of the diverse artistic styles found at the time. A beautifully produced work.

Earl Howe, Glorious First of June 1794, a rare openwork oval gold badge, 50x41mm, with fouled anchor in centre, engraved on both sides, ‘EARL HOWE . JUNE 1:1794 RULE BRITANNIA’, lacking integral suspension ring, otherwise extremely fine and very rare £4,000-£5,000 --- On the subject of these particular badges commemorating the ‘Glorious First of June’, Mr D. Hastings Irwin notes in his work War Medals and Decorations: ‘They are of various designs, some being circular, and have different inscriptions. That of Earl How, which was shown with his other decorations at the Naval Exhibition in 1891, was engraved on the outside border, Rule Britannia. They all, however, carry the “foul anchor” in the centre.’ A badge of the same form as that now offered above was sold in the collection of British Naval Medals formed by Admiral the Marquess of Milford Haven by Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, in July 1919 (Lot 166), and an identical example [also lacking suspension ring and pierced at 12 o’clock] is in the Patiala Collection (Sheesh Mahal Museum, India)

British 1845 pattern officer's sword attributed to Captain Durham Plomer, King's (Liverpool) Regiment, with brass hilt, shagreen and wire grip, VR cypher to hilt, Henry Wilkinson and no 29426 to decorated 84cm blade and scabbard, with research paperwork. Alfred Durham Plomer was born in India on 1868 and educated at Cheltenham College and the Royal Military College from 1888. Captain Durham Plomer was wounded at Bergendal and reported missing on 28th August 1900. He died of his wounds at Nooitgedacht on 29th August and is remembered on the Cheltenham College Boer War memorial.
