A Volunteer officer’s 16 bore flintlock holster pistol, 15” overall, barrel 9” with London proofs, engraved “London”, and with swivel ramrod, the flat stepped lock having rainproof pan and roller on frizzen spring, and engraved “Wilkinson & Son”, the walnut stock with flat sided butt and brass mounts including engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial. GC (action AF, cock a crude replacement, light pitting to lock and barrel). Plate 11
An 1895 pattern infantry officer’s sword, blade 35”, by Wilkinson no 33788 (for 1895) on backstrap, etched on both sides with crowned R Arms, reversed and interlaced VR cypher and wreath, in tightly scrolled and foliate panels, regulation pierced steel hilt withplain edge and traces of plating, incorporating crowned VR cypher, plain pommel, diced backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, with lace knot (worn). GC (light pitting to hilt, rust inside).
An 1845 pattern infantry field officer’s sword, slightly curved, fullered blade 32” (slightly shortened) by Wilkinson (faint) no 7764 (for 1856) on backstrap, etched with crowned VR cypher within tightly scrolled panels on both sides, regulation brass hilt with turn down inner portion (loose), wirebound grip (worn), in its brass scabbard with 2 rings (dented). A rosewood striking table clock, 19th century, case with four bevelled glass panels, 7-inch brass dial with Roman numerals inscribed Wilkinson, Leicester, engraved corners, twin chain fusee movement with a anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 35.5cm high 09.12.16, Top and front glass panels with chips, some mouldings and the feet are chipped, dial with some deep scratches and dents in parts, dial totally discoloured, later hands, movement needs cleaning, one fusee chain is broken and detached from the fusee, movement not working.

GLAZUNOV ALEXANDER (1865-1936) Russian Composer, Music Teacher and Conductor. A.M.Q.S., Alexander Glazunov, one page, 8vo, London, 28th November 1931, inscribed to Mr. R.C. Wilkinson. On a holograph stave Glazunov has elegantly penned four bars of music, marked Allegro ob. Moderato, which he identifies as being form his 7th Symphony (1902).
