A British 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword by Henry Wilkinson, single fullered etched curved blade, length 85.5cm, inscribed 'SEYMOUR BLANE. FROM HIS FRIEND AND COMRADE ROBERT. J. LINDSAY.' and numbered 7957, folding brass hilt with sword and baton cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, metal scabbard, length 100.5cm. Condition - hilt slightly bent, oxidisation to metal, losses to grip (wood and skin), dings to scabbard, general wear throughout, the blade doesn't appear to have been re-sharpened, there are no markings to the scabbard.
A George V 1912 Pattern Cavalry Officer's sword by Wilkinson, named to G.F Boles (Sir Gerald Fortescue Boles, 17th/21st Lancers)blade with serial number 49142blade etched for the first half of its length with scrolls and arabesques surrounding King George V's crown and cypher, a panel nearer the hilt etched with the owner's name 'G. F. Boles', three-quarter basket hilt, shagreen covered semi-pistol grip with wire binding, carved and engraved pommel, blade length 89cm, with scabbard and field service cover also bearing initials. Notes: Captain Sir Gerald Fortesque Boles appears to have joined as an officer with the 17th Lancers in 1920. However, the serial number on this blade dates manufacture to around 1915. It could, therefore, have been a blade originally intended for or owned by his brother, Hastings Fortescue Boles, who also served with the 17th Lancers but was killed in 1915. Sir Gerald was also sadly later killed in action during a Luftwaffe bombing raid in Bari (South-Eastern Italy) on 9th April 1945. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Dennis Fortescue Boles, C.B.E., D.L., J.P., 1st Bt., and Lady (Beatrice Ringrose) Boles, of Bishop's Lydeard, Somerset and husband of Lady (Violet Blanche Hall) Boles, of Kingston, Somerset.

A Wilkinson First Pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando fighting knifecirca 1941with a wavy standard 2" crossguard, the square 'tablet'-shaped ricasso etched with makers mark to one side and 'The F-S Fighting Knife' to the reverse, shaped guard and knurled grip, in first pattern leather scabbard (missing upper rear portion and belt loop), blade length 16cm, overall length 28.6cmPlease note that buyers must be over 18 to purchase this lot. ID will be required upon successful purchase.Blade shortened by approximately 1cm. With some pitting generally throughout and signs of having previously been polished. Black spots and losses to the original finish in patches on the crossguard. Further loss of finish to the pommel and upper portion of the handle, revealing a yellow underlay in two large patches and a few smaller spots. Some scratches and dings or dents again to the pommel. Scabbard missing upper portion/belt loop.

The Passing Show Magazine - Original vintage advertising poster for the Passing Show magazine and its Extra Summer Number costing 6d featuring a colourful and fun image by Gilbert Wilkinson (1891-1965), linen backed, 20 x 30 inches. Gilbert Wilkinson was a magazine artist for over 25 years and is best known for his "What A War" cartoons in the Daily Herald during World War Two ("What A Life" after the war). Isaac COOKSON (1776-1851) was born at Newcastle upon Tyne, the third son of Isaac COOKSON (1745-1831) of Newcastle upon Tyne by Margaret WILKINSON (1749-1801). He was a merchant and in 1809 the Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne. Jane COOK (1784-1869) was the daughter and heir of Revd.
