A fine cased 5 shot 38 bore Adams Model 1851 “Dragoon” self cocking percussion revolver, 13½” overall, barrel 8” engraved on the top strap “Wilkinson & Son, Pall Mall, London”, London proved, the frame engraved with scrolls and “Adams’s Patent No 1449”, the finely chequered walnut butt with steel cap having engraved sprung trap. Very Good Working Order and Condition, the barrel and frame retaining 95% of original mirror blued finish, cylinder with traces of colour hardening, in its original green baize lined fitted mahogany case with circular brass escutcheon and maker’s trade label, containing 38 bore double cavity bronze mould with Adams 1851 Registration mark, bag shaped copper flask by Dixon retaining virtually all original lacquered finish, brass mounted wooden loading rod with interchangeable cleaning jag, nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, pewter oil bottle, turned wooden box containing 2 spare nipples, 38 bore wad punch, 2 other wad punches and 2 associated tools. Good Condition (a few external marks to case and remains of old paper label on the lid). Plate 21
A Victorian officer’s broadsword of The Seaforth Highlanders, claymore blade 32½”, by Wilkinson, no 29435 (for 1889) etched with crowned VR cypher on one side and crown with “Seaforth Highlanders Rossshire Buffs” on the other, in thistle panels, with owner’s crest of a helm on torse with motto “Cassis Tutissima Virtus”, regulation pierced and panelled hilt, wirebound fishskin grip, red white and blue lining (some wear) and crimson tassels, in its steel scabbard with stud finial and 2 rings. Good Condition (brightly polished overall). Plate 12
An Edward VII cavalry officer’s sword, blade 35”, by Henry Wilkinson, no 38949 (for 1901) on backstrap, and etched with crowned Ed VII cypher, crowned Royal Arms without supporters and wreaths within scrolled geometric panels, with owner’s monogram CHM (? unclear), plated, pierced scroll pattern guard, diced pommel and backstrap, wirebound Wilkinson’s patent solid grip, in its plated scabbard with 2 rings and a suspension sling. Good Condition (minor wear). Plate 12
A Fine Quality Victorian Sheffield Plate Bottle Stand & Bottles by Henry Wilkinson & Co. The three deep viridian green glass bottles having facet cut sides with ornate collar mounts & stoppers embossed & chased with fruiting vine. The trefoil stand edged in scrolling vine issuing bunches of grapes and raised on three small scroll feet, 16½ ins (42 cms) in height.

A good EIIR 1912 Pattern Cavalry Officer’s sword, 89cm bright blade by WILKINSON, serial. no. 68571 for 1939, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned Royal Arms, EIIR cypher and laurel wreath, retaining most of its original polish and matt etched ground, regulation plated bowl guard wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard.
21st Hussars 1822 pattern officer’s sabre by Henry Wilkinson (23282), the 87.5cm bright blade with single fuller, etched with a crowned VR cypher, foliate panels, the officer’s initial ‘HMB’ and unit title ‘21/H’. Regulation triple bar handguard and wire bound fishskin grip (some wear), complete with its steel scabbard, very good condition. HMB for Hugh M Beavan, 2nd Lieutenant 13 August 1879, Lieutenant 24 August 1881. Leaves the regiment in late 1882. Beavan was born in 1858 at Port Bleiddyn (Flintshire) in 1858. Noted as residing at Pitminster, Taunton in 1891.
A Black Second Pattern Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife, 16.7cm flattened diamond section blackened blade etched WILKINSON SWORD CO. LTD LONDON and THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE at the base of the spine, regulation blackened chequered hilt with strait cross-guard, contained in its leather scabbard with elastic retaining strap and blackened chape.
