A good Geo VI RN officer's sword, straight, fullered blade 31", by Wilkinson Sword Ltd, London (no number), etched with crowned GVIR cypher and crowned fouled anchor within roped oak wreath panels, regulation half basket gilt hilt, the guard with turn down inner portion and incorporating crowned fouled anchor, lion's head pommel and backstrap, wirebound sharkskin grip, blue and gilt knot, in its brass mounted leather scabbard, with leather belt, slings and brass WBC, chamois inner, and leather outer, covers named en suite to hilt "C R Bartell RN". Near VGC (small dark pitting patches to blade edges) Plate 6
A Vic officer's sword of the Scots Fusilier Guards, straight, slender fullered blade 32½", by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, no 18751 (1872) etched with crowned VR cypher, crowned regimental badge and 9 battle honours Sphinx and "Egypt" to "Sevastopol" with scrolling, regulation plated guard incorporating regimental badge, stepped pommel and diced section backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard, with photostat copy of entry in Wilkinson register showing it to have been sold to "J H Hay Esq". GC, the plating mostly sound (minor dark pitting patches, scabbard throat screws missing) Plate 6
A 1908 pattern cavalry trooper's sword, straight SE fullered blade 35½", marked Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London at forte, no other visible markings, regulation steel hilt with bowl guard, plain pommel, pistol shaped composition grip, in its steel scabbard with opposing rings. GC, the blade retaining most original finish (hilt and scabbard cleaned over light pitting)
A Vic 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword, slightly curved fullered blade 32½", by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, no 11611 (1861), etched with crowned VR cypher within elaborately scrolled panels, regulation gilt hilt, the guard incorporating crowned VR cypher, stepped pommel, ornamental backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, crimson and gilt cord knot, in its gilt mounted leather scabbard with Wilkinson escutcheon on the locket. GC, the hilt and scabbard gilt good (leather worn, dark pitting stains to blade) Plate 6
A Vic infantry officer's sword, very slightly curved blade 32" by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London no 17335 (1871) etched with crowned VR cypher within scrolled, fenestrated panels, officially rehilted with 1895 pattern guard (some original plating), diced backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its steel scabbard with 2 hanging rings, traces of plating. Basically GC (some wear, few small edge nicks)

A good Vic officer's regimental pattern mameluke hilted dress sword of the 15th (the King's) Hussars, SE curved flat blade 32", DE at point, by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London (no number), etched with crown in star and "King's Hussars" in panels, with owner's crest of a cockerel rising from a twisted bar, mameluke hilt with ornamental gilt crossguard and langets, ivory grips with diced panels and ornamental bands, gilt foliate strap and rosettes, in its fine gilt foliate engraved scabbard with cut out fishskin panels, 2 hanging rings; see Robson pl 84 and 85 for similar. Ltd. and Royal cypher, stamped Made in England and numbered 66877, the leather scabbard with ribbed throat and leather strap, total length 39.5in (100.5 cm).

A large early Victorian silver Warwick cruet, Edward I, Edward II, James and William Barnard, London 1838-39. the frame of four eagle’s masks, acanthus and claw and ball feet, with central baluster handle and reeded shell, scroll handle, the base with similar chased border, the front with a foliate scroll and diaper work cartouche, engraved with a coat of arms, fitted with three octagonal lidded casters, each on a spreading octagonal foot, the covers and with pineapple finials, two pierced, one blind, the bodies chased with panels of shells, scrolls and flowers on a matted ground; two silver-mounted cut glass bottles, with silver neck mounts chased with scrolls and foliage and each with leaf-capped scroll handles and hinged domed covers, two casters engraved with a crest, the large caster and the bottle covers engraved with a crest and motto (6), 39cm high, 110oz/r, Heraldry: The arms are those of Darby with Grant in pretence for Francis Darby Esq. of Sunniside House, Coalbrookdale, Shropshire, and his wife Hannah, only daughter of John Grant. Francis Darby was the son of Abraham Darby who, with John Wilkinson, designed and constructed the Iron Bridge over the Severn at Coalbrookdale. RODS (2): A Hardy Alnwick Greenheart 9' 3 piece with spare top trout fly rod No G25392, low bridge guides whipped red, bronze ferrules, shaped cork handle with light alloy reel fittings, good and a G Wilkinson of Redditch 7' 2 piece greenheart brook fly rod in fine condition, black whipped low guides, cork handle over up screw reel seat, line 3-4, both in MOB.
A pair of flintlock pocket pistols, by Wilkinson, Edinburgh, turn-off barrels 1 ¼ in. and mounted with sprung bayonets, box locks with engraved actions and top mounted sliding safety catches, bayonet latches mounted to the side, hardwood slab grips with vacant cartouches, early 19th Century.
