Sword: an 1897 George V Pattern Infantry Officers sword by Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall London. Number 46861 for 1914/15. Etched blade some age staining but no pitting. In its leather field service scabbard. Sword the property of Lieut. C.D WYLES 4th/Bn. Hampshire Regt. A good quality piece. SOLD WITH: His commission document in the Territorial Force to Christopher D. Wyles 2/LT. Territorial Force & dated 11.12.1914.
Thomas Wilkinson Wallis (1822-1903): A Carved Limewood Still Life, dated 1866, carved as a Wagtail and a fly suspended on a fence backboard hung with ivy, signed T.W.WALLIS LOUTH 1866, 56cm by 33cm, in a glazed fruitwood display case, together with A Framed History of the Artist, containing reproductions of this frontispiece of Wallis`s autobiography, including an illustration of the present lot and also photocopies from a Country Life article, June 5th 1958 showing the self-portrait at the Wilberforce House, Hull where he also appears to be holding the present lot Thomas Wilkinson Wallis served his apprenticeship as a wood carver in Hull before establishing his own business in Louth in 1843 specialising in the carving of trophies of game and other birds in lime. His work can be found in Louth Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum Section of ivy to bottom right hand side with breaks. Case with some typical minor chips and splits. 281014

A cased set of six silver coffee spoons by Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1910, with beaded borders, 8.5cm long; a rectangular cigarette case by Frederick Field, Birmingham 1934, with engine turned covers and with applied initials `SMR`, 9.5cm long; a cased Victorian apostle pattern sugar spade, sugar sifter spoon and sugar tongs by Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield 1885, the sifter spoon 11.5cm long; a christening fork; a mother-of-pearl handled knife; and a salt spoon, 270g (8.7 oz) gross weighable. A condition report is not available on this lot.

Ltd., London 1912, with a beaded border, pierced body, waisted stem and on a conforming circular moulded spreading foot, 14.5cm diameter; a Victorian shaped circular dish by Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield 1849, with a pierced foliate scroll border and engraved with a crest, 18.5cm diameter; and a cigar box by Harman Brothers, Birmingham 1954, the engine turned cover engraved with `D.S.R`, the body engraved with a presentation inscription, 17cm long, with a wood liner, 338g (10.9 oz) gross weighable. Poster, GWR `Treasure Isle - Isle Of Man` by Norman Wilkinson c.1930, Q/R size. A magnificent image of a two masted sailing ship flying the triskele, approaching the island. Printed by Jordison & Co., London & Middlesborough. No folds, some edge wrinkling and a couple of clean right edge margin tears otherwise quite striking and vibrant.
Sport collection of over 20 assorted photos, signed cards, signed magazine pages.
