84.5cm curved fullered blade by Wilkinson, etched with scrolling foliage, a stand of arms and the presentation inscription CAPTAIN & MRS HERBERT ANSELL PRESENT THIS INDIAN FRONTIER POLICE TULWAR TO JACK F. RASPIN IN APPRECIATION OF HIS SERVICES AS A SPECIAL CONSTABLE DURING THE GREAT WAR 1914-19, characteristic brass hilt decorated with vines and foliage, dished disc pommel with starburst dome finial, scrolling knuckle guard, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard.
86cm bright and sharp blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 53420 for 1914-17, etched with scrolling foliage, regimental title, GVR cypher and crowned Royal Arms, regulation three-bar steel hilt, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard. The attribution to Captain Gladwell-Moore is based on the vendor's purchase of this sword from the estate auction of Sir Patrick Moore.
82cm blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 65917 for 1936, etched with scrolling foliage, GVIR cypher, regimental badge and battle honours of the Coldstream Guards and the owner's initials J.H.B, regulation pierced steel hilt brass decoration and the motif of the Life Guards, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard. The initials are those of Major John Hood Bowman, captured by the Japanese in February 1942 and liberated in September 1945. Bowman did not serve in the Life Guards, perhaps rehilted by a relative (?).
A GOOD VICTORIAN SCOTTISH BASKET HILTED OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD FOR THE BLACK WATCH, late 1850s, with 32in. double-edged steel blade with two narrow fullers on each side, deeply etched on both sides with scroll-work, the Royal cypher to one side and the Black Watch regimental crest over, ricasso with proved plug to one side and 'HENRY / WILKINSON / PALL MALL / LONDON' over and numbered '6031' on the edge, polished steel hilt pierced with hearts, wire-bound leather grip, red felt liner with blue edging, red tassel under pommel, together with its black leather scabbard with two suspension rings, finely engraved steel furniture, some staining to the hilt, 41in. overall. Generally in good clean condition.

There are a couple of surface scratches, in need of a good clean, very dirty. There are a couple of firing faults, one particularly to the back of one ear. The small green rabbit has some yellowy like substance to the edge. In need of a good clean, all over crazing, there is a firing fault to its front leg and a large black mark to its tail. The pink one has no tail just a hole but this looks as through it's done during manufacture. Again all over crazing, dirty with various marks. All three with general wear and tear conducive with age and use and in need of a good clean - see images for more details

A pair of late Victorian dressmakers scissors by T. Wilkinson & Son Sheffield, with brass handles. Length 37 cm, together with an auction catalogue dated 1986 stating that the scissors belonged to a dressmaker in Queen Victoria's household Master Curwen a master tailor (died 1902) (see illustration).

VAT)Condition Report: 1907 bayonet ins generally good condition, typical of age with a nice clean blade. The Remington is oxidized in places, blade edge ground to sharpen, some decication to the leather frog. But all structurally sound and an interesting example.
