Wilkinson (G.H., Bp. of Truro). Some Laws in God's Spiritual Kingdom, Wells Gardner, [c. 1890], orig. dark blue lambskin, upper cover lettered in gilt, and stamped "O.V.C.B. June 16 1894" at the foot, rubbed, a.e.g., fcap 8vo Inscribed to "The Lady Ottoline Bentinck from Stephen and Jane Ellis with sincere good wishes on her 21st Birthday". The text was evidently particularly relevant to the young Ottoline, who has extensively annotated and underscored it in pencil. The Preface states that profits from the book were to be given to the Community of the Epiphany, a Sisterhood under the Bishop of Truro's supervision. This is presumably the Cornish sisterhood, supervised by Mother Julian, that Ottoline was to discover in 1895. (1)
