Land Bank of Egypt, a pair of specimen certificates for 25 ordinary shares of £5 and 1 ordinary share of £5, Alexandria 1905, vignette of oxen with city in background, ornate border of Egyptian themes, pink and blue respectively, printed by Imprimerie Chaix, both have small hole cancels over number boxes and signature areas and on each coupon, small filing hole at top left, dirty/discoloured down centre fold, very fine but with some edge splits, the first rare. (2) Although not marked as specimens, these were found amongst the files of Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. and in our opinion were kept for archive purposes. Ottoman Financial Association Ltd., certificate for 1 share of £50, 1864, no.01152, ornate border, black, English with title in Arabic below, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., very fine and scarce. This company was formed by the Mercantile Credit Association and was a combination of Greek merchant houses. A Victorian silver waiter Henry Wilkinson & Co., London 1869, impressed diamond registration mark, circular with shaped, pierced, pendant husk and beaded rim, the well with extensive engraved floral and foliate decoration around a crested presentation inscription dated 1870, on three bead, shell and scroll bracket feet, 10½in. (26.75cm.) diameter, weight 17 tr.oz. * Condition: In good condition. Marks clear with slight rubbing. Registration mark partially rubbed. Rim bent downwards very slightly above two of the feet. No other damage or repairs noted.
