Stamped to the pommel “22. L D 943”. Housed in its original leather and steel scabbard. Blade made by Wilkinson and with various issue stampings etc. Some evidence of sharpening to the blade. The blade measures 30 ½ cms, overall 44cms

A British 1887 pattern heavy cavalry officers sword, a stamped for Wilkinson, the blade engraved with a cipher of George V, Shagreen handle and pierced steel guard, lacking scabbard, 102cm long.
