The beech stick has a pitted blade, the antler grip is quite porous and the staining is rubbed on the haft.

The beech sword cane has grey patching and pitting to the blade which bears traces of blueing. There are two small splits to the grip and the top of the haft. The pommel is dented. There is split running from the ferrule. The bamboo has numerous splits
