Sayer August 15th 1772 47 x 56cm; 181/2 x 22in With a quantity of French and English engravings from the 18th and 19th Century some prints taken from books and reproductions and an unframed etching by Norman Wilkinson of a river with a salmon leaping all unframed + + Trimmed to plate mark a fold down the middle tatty and scuffed in some areas. An Indian Army rifle officer`s sword, straight fullererd blade 32½", by Wilkinson, no 58303 on backstrap (1920), etched with crowned R Arms, GRI cypher, wreath and owner`s initials "E.A.N. Aug 8th 1920" within scrolled panels, regulation plated hilt incorporating crowned strung bugle, plain pommel, diced backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard, with black leather knot, black leather FS scabbard, chamois cover, oilskin cover, and leather case.
