BRITISH NAVAL OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD, having gilt metal lion's head pommel over wire bound shark skin grip with gilt metal guard and braided tassel, the etched, fullered, single edge blade marked: Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London and Gieve Matthews and Seagrove Ltd. London, Portsmouth and Devonport. Gilt brass mounted leather scabbard. Numbered: 42347. 94cm long overall. CONDITION REPORT: Some staining and marks to the blade, wear to gilding commensurate with use, braid is also worn and very grubby, scabbard top mount is loose, scuffs and wear to the leather.

Royal Marines Officer's "Sword of Honour" by Wilkinson of London.A extremely rare example presented to Second Lieutenant M.A. Le Breton in 1985. The sword is the regulation pattern. The obverse of the blade is etched with a Crowned EIIR cypher and presentation "Second Lieutenant M.A. Le Breton Royal Marines". The reverse is with regimental title and Globe and Laurels and further presentation script "The Royal Marines Sword of Honour Presented by the Admiralty Board for Meritorious Results 19 April 1985". The forte with the cutler's details of Wilkinson and the blade is numbered "117372" Infantry pattern guard with EIIR Cypher; shagreen grip and twist wire binding. Housed in polished brown leather field service scabbard. The overall condition is good and is near parade condition, but PLEASE NOTE slight damp damage with light rusting to the top of the blade and a little to the throat of the scabbard. Needs a small amount of attention.Lieutenant M.A. Le Breton was appointing Acting Second Lieutenant 3rd May 1984, Lieutenant 1st May 1988 and was transferred to the Emergency List 1992.
British 1856 Pattern Pioneers Short SwordA good example, the single edged flat sided blade with sharpened back edge point and rear sawback edge. The forte dated "10/00 and cutler's details of Wilkinson" with various Ordnance stamps and stamped "N". Brass stirrup shape guard with down swept quillon. and brass ribbed slab grips secured by four steel rivets. Housed in its brass mounted leather scabbard. Clean condition.
Royal Navy Attributed Officer's Sword by Wilkinson of London.A good post 1901 example, carried by Commander Lewis Bernard Alexander Majendie DSC, who is credited with the destruction of U-445 1944. The blade etched with Royal Arms and crowned fouled anchor. The solid gilt metal guard emblazoned with a crowned fouled anchor. To the forte the cutler's details of Wilkinson and retailer's details of "Gieves". White shagreen grip surmounted by a gilt metal lion's head pommel. Within the gilt guard is engraved the name "L.B.A. Majendie". Housed in original black leather and gilt mounted scabbard fitted with two loose rings; complete with bullion sword knot. Etching to blade remains clear, blade with some rusting and surface pitting, spots, crease to the scabbard. GCCommander Lewis Bernard Alexander Majendie DSC was appointed a Midshipman in the Royal Navy on the 2nd August 1914, he was present at the Battle of Jutland serving as a Assistant Navigation Officer. Acting Sub Lieutenant January 1917 and confirmed in September 1917. Lieutenant 1919 and remaining with the Royal Navy Lt Commander 1927. He retired with the rank of Commander 1938 and was attached to the RAF. Recalled at the outbreak of WW2 he commanded the Sloop HMS Fowey and on the 20th November 1942 whilst picking up survivors of a merchant ship was torpedoed and sunk by U-263. He was later given command of HMS Wren a Sloop and HMS Glenarm a Frigate. On the 7th May 1944 he was given Command of HMS Louis another Frigate on on the 24th August 1944 engaged and sunk U-445 in the Bay of Biscay. He was awarded the DSO in January 1945.
Battle of Britain Wilkinson Commemorative sword.A magnificent example with a gilt eagle crossguard and pommel with gilt RAF device, produced to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The straight double edged blade is etched with a "Scramble" scene. Spitfires and Hurricane fighters etc. The reverse bears the Wilkinson Sword Device and details of the sword, also to the blade, stating this to be number 36 of 500 swords. The hilt with plain polished rosewood grip. Good clean condition.
Edwardian 7th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers The London Scottish Attributed Officer's Broadsword.A very fine example by Wilkinson of London bearing the blade number "40894" (1906). The straight blade with central fuller is etched with a EVIIR cypher, the full regimental title and also with an Armourial crest and initials "C.J.L.". The hilt with full basket, retaining scarlet lining and crimson tassels. Housed in polished black leather scabbard with plated chape. Near Parade Condition.Attributed to Major C.J. Low DSO who was appointed Lt in December 1909. He served with the 1st Bn as a Company Commander during the Great War and was with the Regiment on the first day of the Battle of Loos and the Somme. His papers are held by the Imperial War Museum.

The blade is etched with Crowned EIIR Cypher, General Officer's device and floral decoration. Gilt cross guard with floral decoration and General Officer's device to the centre. Two piece grip with two floral head gilt studs. Housed in original plated scabbard with two loose rings. Fitted with gold bullion and crimson silk sword knot. The sword has been professionally refurbished, probably by Wilkinson and is in Parade condition. One floral head stud to grip absent.

The hilt with the unusual feature of a Light Cavalry three bar open guard, shagreen grip with diamond cut pommel. Housed in polished steel scabbard. Overall GC etching clear minor age wear.Formed 18th August 1859 Attributed to Lt Edward D Fisher appointed 20th April 1861
