§ HENRY MOORE, BRITISH (1898-1986), reclining figure, print, inscribed `for Michael Compton from Henry Moore`. PROVENANCE: Gifted to Michael Compton after the 1977 Henry Moore Drawings exhibition at the Tate Gallery (Tate Britain). Alan Wilkinson of the Art Gallery Ontario was the curator, but Compton organised the exhibition and afterwards Wilkinson asked Moore to reward him and Moore produced this lithograph. This lot is part of a single owner collection of 28 lots to include Roy Lichtenstein, Marcel Broodthaers, Terry Frost, Henry Moore, Richard Long, Victor Newsome, Keith Milow, Billy Al Bengston, Ian Stephenson, Sol LeWitt and Joe Tilson. 12.60 x 15in. A 1908 PATTERN CAVALRY OFFICER`S SWORD BY WILKINSON, NO. 65181, DATED 1935 with etched regulation blade incorporating the date and the owner`s name (feint, areas of pitting), regulation hilt, fishskin-covered grip, in its field service scabbard 89.2 cm; 35 1/8 in blade The Wilkinson archives state that sword no. 65181 was sold on 16/12/1935, described as ""Cavalry"", to W. Chassels.

Seed.`, length approx 82.5cm, nickel plated hilt with crowned `GRI`, wire bound fishskin covered grip with leather knot, in its leather covered field service scabbard (hilt plating lifting, blade lightly rusted). An Elizabeth II Royal Naval Officers dress sword by Wilkinson, London:, numbered 115809, the singled edged fullered blade with crown and ER cypher, named `L F Comley` to one side and foul anchor to opposite, with rope and acorn decoration, signed to tang as per title, over gilt knuckleguard, wire bound fish skin grip and lion`s head pommel with bullion loop, gilt brass mounted leather scabbard, blade length 79cm.

The underside of the cover of the Gayday pot with two flat chips. No restoration
