A DIAMOND RING, circa 1910, the old brilliant cut diamond claw set in a square shaped open mount between open stepped shoulders each set with three old brilliant cut diamond highlights on a fine tapering band. Stamped 18CT PLAT. Ring size M. Weight 3.3gms. A COLLECTION 19TH CENTURY BANDED AGATE JEWELLERY, to include a gold and banded agate pendant, the three articulated tapering oval banded agate drops suspending from an oval cut banded agate set within a moulded pierced metal work mount, in turn suspending on articulated links from a circular cabochon cut banded agate set within a similar pierced metal work mount, all suspending from a fine oval link chain with bolt ring clasp. Mount stamped 9CT. Length 41cm. Weight 7.1gms.; a banded agate brooch, the large oval cut banded agate collet set within a moulded and engraved open backed mount with brooch pin fitting and safety chain. Diameter 6.5cm. Weight 51.3gms; a pair of tapering banded agate drop earrings, on shepherds hook fittings. Length 6.5cm. Weight 9.7gms; and a banded agate and diamond ring, the round cabochon cut banded agate set to the top with seven rose cut diamond highlights set in a star shaped mount. Stamped 15CT. Ring size N. Weight 7.9gms. CONDITION REPORTAll agate is in good condition with no chips, marks or abrasions.Good strong natural light and dark striations throughout.To the brooch, minor areas of tarnishing to the metal. To the ring, total weight of diamonds approx. 0.14 carats. Estimated colour L/M. Estimated clarity pique.Overall a very good show.
A GEORGIAN SEED PEARL AND ENAMEL RING, circa 1810-1820, the large square mount set to the centre with a rectangular shaped glass locket within a surround of sixteen claw set seed pearls, in turn set within a subtle surround of black enamelling and heavily moulded and engraved detail metal work, between fine split detail shoulders on a fine band. Engraved to the reverse of the mount "Sam Mitchell Esq. *** 30th Jan. 1826 *** 49". Ring size M. Weight 7.7gms. CONDITION REPORTThe seed pearls have each corroded due to age and wear and are nearly all greenish blue with brown tones. All have surface cracks to the nacre. The glass locket with numerous surface marks and scratches. Evidence of solder work to the mount and band. Surface marks and scratches to the entirety.
