A George III mahogany long case clock with arch brass dial and painted moon phase below an arc titled `On Times Uncertain Eternity Depends` with seconds and subsidiary dial and scroll engraved centre and cartouche` inscribed Brownbill Liverpool, enclosed by a double pillar swan neck hood over a shaped long trunk door flanked by reeded canted pilasters on a projected canted plinth base and ogee bracket feet, height 232cm.
Midland Railway / LMS Mahogany cased 10" drop dial chisel bottom trunk English fusee clock. The wire fusee movement which has recently been cleaned and oiled has rectangular plates with turned pillars. The original dial bears the writing L.M.S. JOYCE WHITCHURCH 10613 and is in good condition, the case is also free from repairs and is in original condition and has an Brass numberplate fixed to it L.M.S. 10613. A very rare example of a Joyce clock and was used in the station at Bromsgrove, this was confirmed by the vendor who purchased it direct from the Station in the late 1960`s when he worked for British Road Services who were based there, Bromsgrove is also lightly scratched on the movement backplate. Complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1920`s
GWR Mahogany cased 12" drop dial trunk English fusee clock. The chain driven fusee movement which has recently been cleaned and oiled has rectangular plates with shaped shoulders and ringed and barrelled pillars. The original dial bears the writing G.W.R. and the excellent quality flame mahogany case with an eight piece segmented surround is in original condition and has an Ivorine numberplate fixed to it G.W.R. 1285 . A nice example of these popular clocks and apparently originates from Round Oak Station in the Black Country. Complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1870
George III oak and mahogany long case clock with dentil carved swan neck pediment, applied with brass embossed roundels and brass finials, the broken arched painted dial, bird and cockerel decorated with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar arch, inscribed "Abram Shaw, Billingboro.", the trunk with fluted canted fore-corners, broken arched door inlaid with floral and foliate elliptical-shaped cartouche, on plinth base, 210cm high approx.
An eight day, floral painted, long case clock by E. Crake, Lowestoft, in crossbanded oak case, height 216cm. Condition Report: The hood is missing centre finial. Some of the crossbanding on the door to the trunk varies, so sections may have been replaced. Also small section of crossbanding veneer missing from lower trunk, together with a definate horizontal join in the panel. There is a pendulum and key, but no weights. NB: On the reverse of the front plate of the movement is stamped "Finmore & Son".
A large, eight day, mahogany longcase clock, height 244cm. Condition Report: We have all three finials, even though our photo only shows two. Cracks to veneer on hood and small piece missing from the back seat section of hood. Splits to both sides of the trunk casing. Small chip to panel on trunk door. The movement has no hand or mechanism to top dial. Also chapter ring is rubbed. Pendulum, key and weights are present.
