An early 18th century walnut long cased clock, arched hood with blind fret decoration, side viewing panels, shortened case with cross banding, brass dial with dolphins to arch, date aperture, inscribed Jno Desmoulins - H220cm CONDITION REPORT: Base of trunk shortened, one lead weight, one cast iron weight, pendulum with brass bob. Shortened case of good colour. Four pillar two train movement with anchor escapement. Dial and movement appear original. This is a family clock that requires servicing. Not in going order.
A Kunisada (1786-1865) and a Kuniyoshi (1797-1869) woodblock print, the first of a soldier coming away from pine tree holding a naginata, oban in cream mounts and the second of a samurai plunging his naginata into a black lacquer trunk, oban ina black frame (2) The Kunisda has some staining/foxing in the lower half. The Kuniyoshi has some dirt and a small tearin the bottom left hand corner

A 19th century marble sculpture of a young Bacchus, wearing a crown of vine leaves and grapes and holding a ewer in his right hand, standing on a naturalistic base next to a tree trunk, the base inscribed 'B. SAXF. ROMA 1867', 118cm high, 38cm wide.Provenance: The Property of a Nobleman. Lot 395 – marble Baccus. Overall his hand, arm and tips of the great leaves are a little discoloured and grubby. Overall a little grubby. An orange stain to the top of his head with some wear to high points. His cup is missing but has been replaced in turned wood. Some surface marks, with a 3cm incised scratch to his torso. Some pitt marks to his left side of body and to back and to arms. Old chips and losses to ewer and to the toes on his right foot. An old break to the back of the base which has been repaired. Some old chips to the edge of the base. Some staining to the marble. Some natural veining apparent to marble, especially to legs and arms.
