Gauge 2/3 tinplate Station accessories, German circa 1928, light brown painted tinplate four-wheel Zeitungen (Newspaper) trolley with brown bar handles to each end and pyramid shaped paper rack with various miniature newspapers (most dated 1928) and sign to top, good condition, some paint loss and sign detached, 20cm (8”) long, Kibri? four-wheel Buffet trolley, hinged lower door to, cooked food section with lids, hanging piece of meat, cream and light green with orange lining, 17.5cm (7”) long, good condition, sign posts bent and some minor paint loss, Doll and Co three-wheel luggage cart and a Marklin luggage trolley with parcel and trunk, good condition, all pieces a little dirty (4 items).
Charles Wall, London: a mid 18th Century longcase clock, the 12in. brass dial with inscription to the arch, together with strike silent dial, subsidiary seconds and date aperture below, fitted eight day striking movement with anchor escapement, the chinoiserie case with arched pediment and brass ball finials above the arched glazed panelled door and pilasters, arched panelled door to the trunk decorated with scenes of figures, buildings and a deer, further animal decoration to the base, 17 1/2 x 92in. high.
J. Hume, Durham: a 19th Century oak longcase clock, with 13in. arched brass dial with roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, decorated with ornate spandrels, the eight day striking movement with anchor escapement, the case with arched glazed panelled door flanked by pilasters, plain drawer to the trunk, raised on a plinth base, 19 x 79 1/2in. high.
An 18th Century style mahogany slender longcase clock, with 5in. arched brass dial inscribed 'Tempus Fugit', thirty hour chain driven movement striking on a single bell, the arched hood with glazed panelled door, surmounted by brass finials, decorated with turned pilasters, the narrow arched panelled door to the trunk centred by an inlaid oval motif, raised on ogee bracket feet, 8 x 72 1/2in. high.
A late 18th century mahogany long case clock with an inlaid square hood, twisted side column supports and an arched glazed door and Gothic aperture to the side. The eight day striking movement is by William Dickie of Paisley. The arched silvered dial has engravings of Putti and scroll work to the spandrels with Roman numeral chapter ring and a five minute interval Arabic chapter. It bears a secondary dial. The movement looks dirty and would benefit from cleaning but would appear complete. There is evidence of restoration work to the case including new seat board and cheeks.
A longcase clock, of unusually slender form, the 16 cm square brass dial with alarum disk, and having Roman numerals, fitted a 30 hour movement, in a tall and narrow walnut case, 206 cm high See illustration Condition report ReportThe trunk is 19.5 cm wide, with a trunk door key, two weights and a pendulum, probably later, hinges replaced on trunk door, as is the lock, some splits and old repairs, the hood door hinge is replaced. Various scrapes and other damages.Report by MWThe hood has had some repairs and new wood let in, including the sound boards on all three sides. The top moulding has been re-glued on both sides. There is a large split running side to side. On the top board, there are two large shrinkage splits, one on either side of the side panels. Also the hood door does not fit very well with a pronounced gap at the top. The movement sits on a new seat board and also the cheeks have been replaced. The trunk door has replacement hinges and is slightly warped. The right hand side of the case, when looking straight on, has been repaired with nail heads showing through and it would appear that the back board has been replaced.
