A Chinese leather travel trunk on rosewood stand, 19th Century, the trunk of rectangular form and applied with tooled leather bats and shou symbols picked out in gold on a red ground, plain bronze hasp and loop side handles, set on a huanghuali stand raised on four fret-moulded supports, 43cm high, 67cm wide, 47cm deep.
A 19thC painted pine blanket box with an allegorical scene of Arthur and Guinevere with the three queens looking on. The painted image comes from the medieval concept of Arthur and kingship, the trunk is also painted with acanthus and wild roses symbolising fidelity, eternity and long life (L98 x D68 x H57cm)
A late 19thC oak longcase clock by Thomas Armstrong & Brother, Manchester, the engraved silvered break arch dial with chapter ring bearing Roman numerals, chime silent subsidiary dial, eight day movement with quarter Westminster chimes, the case with architectural hood bearing Doric capitals, trunk door inset bevelled glass raised on a plinth base, 213.5cm high.
Crake, Loddon: an early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, boxwood banded and foliate inlaid, the arched hood with freestanding fluted columns, arched long trunk door, the 12" steel dial engraved and with seconds subsidiary, the twin train movement striking on a bell, 230cm high, with a reproduction winding key, pendulum but lacking weights.** Edmund Crake is recorded 1836-46.

A George II chinoiserie longcase clock, signed 'FRA Redstal Ouerton' circa 1750/1760, the hood with lacquered ball finial to the left and right to the top above glazed door enclosing arched dial, with silvered subsidiary seconds dial above 11" silvered dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute track, subsidiary alarm dial, date aperture, ormolu mask spandrel to each corner, gilded centre with silvered name plate, the trunk with gilded pagodas and birds in foliage on green ground, 236cm high, with two lead weights, key and pendulum CONDITION REPORT: Lot 79 - can never be sure if movement is original to case, nothing to believe that it is not apart from minor fading to the gilding due to age, also minor age chips and old damage, clock goes when pendulum and weights are attached, has holes to interior of clock where clock has been mounted, old crack to base of clock, has no key for trunk door.
A late 17th century William and Mary walnut longcase clock case, the hood with glazed door, lacking base, 198cm high x 52cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Lot 166 - Trunk width 51.5cm wide, dial size to fit case, approx 12", Glass missing to left side of hood, Small section of wood missing to top left of hood, Lacking base, glass loose to right hand panel of hood, crack to interior of back panel of hood, various small splits and small sections of veneer missing, panel of wood missing to interior of trunk door, old worm to right hand side of trunk door, one section of live worm to inside trunk door.
