Her mother was Princess Helena, Queen Victoria's fifth child and third daughter. Her father was Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein-Augustenburg. In 1917, King George V named the Royal Household the House of Windsor, and as a consequence, Princess Helena Victoria's title changed from Her Highness Princess Victoria of Schelswig-Holstein to Her Highness Princess Helena Victoria.
