A Pride of Penrhyn steam lorry to 1/5th scale from Modelworks castings built by Arthur Green to a very high standard. The lorry finished with red chassis black smoke box and chimney with red and blue cab. 20in high 16in wide 48in long. Cylinders 32mm and 38mm with trunk guides shaft pump handpump injector Stepenson’s valve gear sight glass pressure gauge safety valve blow-down valve blower fusible plug mechanical lubricator chassis with water tank mud guards and rubber tyres fitted. Copper boiler with original boiler certificate from ModelWorks International Ltd Number 307 and dated the 21st February 2006. Hydraulic tested to 200 psi. Working pressure 90 psi. Run on air but never steamed.

A quality built 1 1/2in scale model of a ‘Royal Chester’ Allchin Traction engine built by Mr Harry Knight with single cylinder being a two speed general purpose engine. The engine has a copper boiler with fittings including water gauge pressure gauge safety valve blower clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder approximately 1in bore x 1 1/2in stroke drain cocks with operating lever ratchet mechanical lubricator trunk type crosshead guide Stephenson’s link reverse eccentric driven feed pump and bypass two road speeds and spoked flywheel. Pickering type governor chassis details include spoked straked wheels worm and roller chain steering spud pan damper cable drum fairleads water lifter hand brake to second shaft wooden footboard and tool box. The model is finished in red and black paintwork with polished steel brightwork. 16 1/2in by 26in (42cm x 66cm). Sold together with a collection of photographs of the build and ‘Model Engineer’ magazines with features on constructing this model.

James Alves, Coatbridge. An early 19th century mahogany 8-day longcase clock, the twin train movement with anchor escapement, the arched and painted dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, painted to the spandrels with cottages and to the arch with a castle, the hood with swan neck pediment, the shaped trunk door above a plinth base on flattened bun feet 226cm high.

Thomas Ogden, Halifax. A fine 18th century burr elm cased 8-day longcase clock, the twin train movement with anchor escapement, the arched brass dial with painted moon phase to the arch above a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, enclosing subsiduary seconds dial and date aperture, the hood with caddy top and gilded sphere finials, above glazed hood door flanked by inset quarter columns, the trunk with shaped door, crossbanded and inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing, on a panelled base with bracket feet 241cm high.
