Condition Report: The canvas has been relined. Stretcher marks visible and areas of coarse surface cracking throughout. A tear in the canvas with a corresponding areas of paint loss of approx. 2 cm in the sky centre left. Another speck of paint loss to the left of the tree trunk above the woman with the wicker hat. Two patches on the reverse of the canvas, UV reveals restorations in these areas, including a restored vertical tear of approx. 15 cm in the sky upper left. A layer of surface dirt and discoloured varnish, would benefit from a clean. Abrasions around the edges from contact with the frame. Condition Report Disclaimer
An oak cased longcase clock, the 30cms square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and tablet signed 'Roger Cossins, Crewkerne', fitted with a 30-hour movement striking on a bell, 198cms high.Condition ReportThe back boards to the case have been replaced and there is no seat board. The movement is screwed down to the cheeks. The trunk door is flush with no warping but some shrinkage splits to the trunk base. The chapter ring on the dial is scratched and the movement appears complete. Missing the minute hand.
One hundred and ten 1940s and 1950s vintage 100% silk scarves to include Lladro, Quantas Airlines, Battle of Britain and beige silk pashima, all in a large Finnegans of Bond Street, London trunk/suitcase with two internal tiers, 67 x 44 x 25cm.Condition Report: All of the scarves are in a good vintage condition with no odours, snags or stains, although there are a lot of creases, the vintage suitcase is in usable condition, with some marks to the front but internally in very good condition.
A late 19th century black leather steamer trunk with embossed leather finish, brown leather edges and corners and handle and a striped fabric interior with an Orient Line label to the exterior, 45 x 41 x 38cm.Condition Report: The trunk is in a used condition with rubbing to the leather and discolouration to the brown leather and internally some small stains, the black leather exterior has some scuffs and scratches to the base and sides but the buckles are all in working condition.
