A Regency rosewood sofa table with bobbin turned edge and anthemnion carving to the frieze, one side is fitted a drawer, the whole of leaf carved, tapering pedestal, quadruple plinth base and paw carved feet, width 149cm, depth 65cm. (See illustration) Condition Report: lot 2831 - the left hand flap is warped. the centre section has a slight warp in the middle and the right hand flap also slightly warped. the decorative moulding around the edges is missing in areas. splits to the base of the pedestal column.

An early 19th Century rosewood and brass inlaid sofa table, the top with cross inlaid banding and rounded rectangular drop leaves over a single frieze drawer and dummy drawer with circular medallion inlaid decoration opposite a further single frieze drawer, raised on a central rope-twist and turned and ringed gilded carved pedestal within four scroll supports to the platform base with circular medallion decoration to heavy cast brass lion's paw feet and castors, 150.8 cm wide x 63.5 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Various cracks and chips evident, however, the table appears to have been totally restored, restained, and refinished/revarnished, and with various restored and replaced sections, regilding etc. Old cracks to the table top and leaves appear to have been repaired and fillered. Some losses and lifting to the veneers and brass inlay to the scrolling supports. Size of table with leaves folded down = approx 95cm wide x 63.5 cm deep, and each flap measures approx 30cm.
