Having a rounded back, with spindle design and upswept shaped armrests. With original cushions. Measures approx. 84cm x 174cm x 94cm.

An Edwardian upholstered sofa in the manner of Howard and Sons rectangular back, single loose cushion seat and back, raised on square tapering legs and brass casters, covered in blue patterned fabricheight 83cm., width 172 cm., depth 96cm.Condition: Some later screws to casters. Frame generally sound.

AN EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY AND UPHOLSTERED SOFA BY HOWARD & SONS, CIRCA 1905 Of 'Chaplin' type, the castors stamped 'Howard & Sons, London', one rear leg stamped '18403, 73, HOWARD & SONS LTD, BERNERS ST' 89cm high, 210cm wide, 95cm deep overall Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. The expected minor old chips to legs. Upholstery in good/presentable order overall with just some minor wear and 'pulls' in places. The wheel to one castor is loose, but his could be easily secured. There are join lines to legs but these appear to be the original construction of the legs. Some small old tack holes to tops of legs from previous upholstery. A REGENCY MAHOGANY AND SATINWOOD CROSSBANDED SOFA TABLE CIRCA 1820 72cm high, 192cm wide (with leaves up), 72cm deep Condition Report: Table with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some minor old splits and chips. No key present, but both locks are open. Some old repairs with small amounts of filler used in places - please see images for details. One side of the top, adjacent to the hinge, with an old repaired split and well disguised filler of replacement timber - see image. The top of two legs with neat old dowel repairs - see images. A late Victorian mahogany square leg sofa by C. Hindley and Sons, castors stamped, width 162cm, depth 73cm, height 70cm Cotton loose cover not firm to sit on, needs replacing. Fabric is heavily stained. Springs in good condition, none coming through. Fabric is bobbling in places but no damage.
