Es sind große Inszenierungen, außergewöhnliche Kompositionen, ausdrucksvolle Personendarstellungen, ein expressiver Duktus und eine koloristische Brillanz, die im Zusammenspiel eine große Faszination und Intensität ausüben.Im vorliegenden Bild "Midnight Oil Drama" dominieren zwei, dem Betrachter zugewandte Gesichter junger Frauen die ausdruckstarke Szene. Die Frau links im Bild hat sich mit ihrem Kopf auf den Bauch der zweiten Frau, die tief in das Sofa hineingerutscht ist, gelegt. Eine sehr intime Position. Spannung baut die Künstlerin gekonnt durch die Blickführung auf. Die vordere Frau, die den Kopf müde abgelegt hat, schaut mit einen ernsten, resignierten Gesichtsausdruck regungslos ins Leere. Die hintere Figur hingegen hält direkten Blickkontakt mit dem Betrachter, wach und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich angesprochen und in die Szene eingebunden. Besonders interessant ist zudem die Komposition des Bildes. Die beiden Figuren bilden zwei sich schneidende Diagonalen, was das emotionale Zusammenspiel der Frauen noch verstärkt. Die Lehne des Sofas bildet eine starke Horizontale im oberen Bildbereich, die den Übergang vom Vordergrund der Darstellung zum farbstarken, bunten Hintergrund markiert. Dieser setzt sich mit einem großen Muster, möglicherweise auf einer Tapete, in fröhlichen Farben kontrastreich ab von der farblich monochrom gehaltenen Darstellung der Figuren und Textilien in sensibler Abstimmung von Braun- Orange- und Grüntönen. Jedoch finden sich vor allem im hellen Inkarnat der Gesichter die starken Farben des Hintergrundes fein nuanciert wieder. Thematisch zeigen Hausners Arbeiten oft rätselhafte Szenen oder Gesellschaftsbeschreibungen. So lässt sich auch im vorliegenden Bild nicht sagen, was der Szene vorausgegangen sein könnte. Typischerweise sind Hausners Werke mit weiblichen Protagonistinnen besetzt, die anders als im klassischen Portrait, bestimmte Rollen, ähnlich wie in einem Theaterstück, übernehmen. A Modern Green Studded Leather Sitting Room Suite, of Queen Anne Design, comprising - two two-seat wingback settees and a wingback chair, each on cabriole front legs with claw and ball feet The chair - the leather upholstery is lightly worn and distressed commensurate with age, however it is still firm and comfortable an tight and there are no obvious areas of damage/loss or restoration. There is general oxidisation to the metal studs. The chair itself is nice and tight with no movement in the joints, there is general heavier wear to the legs commensurate with age.One of the settees - the leather is slightly worn and slightly distressed, however appears to be in generally good overall condition with no obvious damage, tears or rips. The upholstery is still tight and comfortable. Some slight oxidisation to the metal studs. The sofa itself is still tight in the joints and some general areas of wear to the legs commensurate with age.Second settee - the leather upholstery is slightly distressed and worn, however appears to be in generally good overall condition apart from one area on the left arm there is a small tear, around 2ins running horizontally. The item is structurally sound, however there is some movement in the left hand joints. Vico Magistretti (1920-2006) - Modular "Fiandra", black leather corner sofa, for Cassina, circa 1975The leather on all components is slightly distressed and there are some areas of staining and scratching. On the right hand side at the centre of the back there is a small tear/rip around 3ins long. On the right hand side at the back there are some areas of wear and the leather is heavily distressed. General heavier wear to the lower sections and feet commensurate with age and usage. Overall three sections appear to be in generally good condition considering age and usage however there is one section with the tear as already mentioned which is the most significant area of damage.

Her naked, somewhat twisted body with a face turned away from the viewer - an arc dominates the draped horizons of the work. Against the background of rocaille lines, pastel pink tones, the figure, illuminated with warm light, seems alluring and attractive. Bodily truthfulness and seductiveness is created by highlights of the smooth skin of the knees. The playfulness of Rococo in color and in the form of a sofa, intertwined with the subtle color flair of Impressionism, connects eras.
