Nachlass Rudolf Rieser - - Roth, Dieter. BROT. (Dobke, 1960-1975, 1969.43). - Leicht fleckig und angestaubt. - Provenienz: Nachlass Rudolf Rieser.

Lot 763

An Edwardian button back chesterfield type sofa, rear leg stamped 'GREGORY & CO'66 x 160 x 80cmStamped back right leg. Left rear leg has been spliced, a historic repair, and the caster on this leg is a brown ceramic one. Three remaining legs have brass casters. The turned front legs have damage from knocks and losses and the turning is no longer sharp, but this damage appears to be historic and the wood colour is consistent. The uphostery is pink draylon or similar with tacked hessian underneath, upholstery is deep buttoned to the inside back and close nailed with brass nails at the top of the legs. The pink upholstery has several marks, some stains and the velvet has been crushed abraded or missing pile in places, consistent with age and wear. Springing in the seat seems secure enough, but the hessian base cloth is in place and intact. Please collect within five working days.
