Fine pair of Chinese famille verte porcelain ginger jars and covers, 19th century, decorated with figural scenes and patterned borders, the covers painted with boys playing and a Ruyi border, on carved wood stands, measuring 23.5cm high without stands (replacement wooden covers also included)Provenance: from the private collection of a Norfolk Family since the mid 19th centuryBoth jars show some glaze and enamel scratching. One porcelain cover is reglued in half with an associated chip. One jar has a small rim chip, other nicks and small rim chips and a hairline on the rim. The other jar has a spot of glaze loss to the figure on the sofa. There is damage to both of the wooden covers and one of the wooden stands.
