A Regency mahogany sofa table with twin D-end flaps, above a pair of frieze drawers, with pair of faux drawer fronts opposite, raised on lyre supports to lion paw feet and castors, 72 x 107 x 59cm (unextended) (af). CONDITION REPORT: There is extensive sun fading to the top, with further old damage visible, including scuffs, scrapes, fading, staining and splits, etc. There is a notable repair to the front edge above the left drawer, with a further noticeable split visible to the left hand side of the centre line. The front right paw is missing its castor, with further trim missing to the front edge. Two of the drawer knobs have chips missing and there are two missing from the faux drawer fronts on the reverse. Further veneer trim missing from in between the drawers. Requires some TLC.
A late 19th/early 20th century walnut sofa table with double ebony inset border to the top, the dome drop flap ends supported by pull-out brackets, over two drawers, brass drop handles and ebony inset trim, raised on two square pillars united by a shaped stretcher, with two cabriole legs, brass end caps and castors, 73 x 157 (extended) x 61cm.Provenance: From the descendants of Andrew Barclay Walker (of Walker Gallery Liverpool), this item has been passed down the generations and is suggested from the family that this is originally from the Andrew Barclay Walker estate. CONDITION REPORT: There is a split to the veneer on top surface, running left to right, with further splits to the crossbanding. Sun fading to one flap. Further wear throughout commensurate with use and age.
