Heal's Ltd. circa 1925-30, a pair of beech framed tub chairs in the manner of Paul Follot, the upholstered frames of semi-circular form with scroll carved uprights, above truncated acorn feet, upholstered in pale green velvet each: 68cm wide, 74cm deep, 70cm high Qty: 2 Although Heal's is traditionally associated with the Arts & Crafts movement and traditional furniture, they also sold fashionable designs from abroad which were either imported or created for Heal's under license. These chairs have a distinctly French style and follow the designs of Paul Follot (1877-1941) famous for the in-house studio Pomone at Bon Marche in Paris.A similar set of chairs with the matching sofa in the Heal's showroom c. 1928
A 1980s rattan suite to include a sofa and two matching armchairs with white cushions and a pair of matching square glass topped coffee tables, the sofa approximately 240cm wide, 70cm high, 110cm deep, the chairs approximately 130cm wide, 70cm high, 110cm deep, and the tables 65cm wide x 47cm high, applied label 'Point'All over good condition with a little wear to the seat support panels as pictured on the sofa. A few scattered scratches to the finish of the rattan. Glass tops of the tables not verified as tempered. Loose cushions in good condition with minor marks to cushion edges.
