A Regency period mahogany sofa table; the two end drop-leaves flanking two true half-width drawers and two dummy drawers opposing; raised on lyre-style ends united by a turned stretcher, on downswept reeded legs carved at the knee and terminating in brass castors, 95cm (leaves down) x 83.5cm deep x 74cm high CONDITION REPORT: Both the rule joints have been damaged and there are additional reparations. The top has a very large dark ink stain pretty much in the centre. Where the top is in two plank pieces these pieces are starting to show a gap. The gadrooned moulding around the two front drawers, most of this is off and away. There are no drawer handles to the front drawers and one of these has two vertical splits to the interior bottom. The gadrooning around the false drawers edge appears to be in good order and each have turned wooden handles. One of the side flaps (near the lot number) is at a slight angle and is not flush against the side of the piece. Other minor scuffs and scratches commensurate with age.
