A pair of French beech and upholstered sofas, 19th century, in Louis XV style, each 91cm high, 192cm wide, approximately 75cm deep overallCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOverall all the sofas surfaces have been stripped and are a light colour overall. The joints to the timber show but appear to be solid and stable, the upholstery appears fairly recently applied however there is a tear to the padded arm to one sofa. The other sofa with a layer of dirt and discolouration to the front edge presumably from age and use in a domestic setting. The undersides are hessian covered and Dreweatts have not inspected any areas of concealed frame and therefore cannot guarantee there originality or give any comments as to condition. A Victorian sofa with central moulded arch, upholstered back and concave ends, carved and pierced scroll and floral frame on short cabriole front legs, 227cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Overall, the sofa is in good condition. Colour of fabric is vibrant, braiding at width of fabric. No obvious rips, tears or damages to fabric. Seems to be a piece missing to right foot. Otherwise in good condition.
