A pair of French beech and upholstered sofas, 19th century, in Louis XV style, each 91cm high, 192cm wide, approximately 75cm deep overallCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOverall all the sofas surfaces have been stripped and are a light colour overall. The joints to the timber show but appear to be solid and stable, the upholstery appears fairly recently applied however there is a tear to the padded arm to one sofa. The other sofa with a layer of dirt and discolouration to the front edge presumably from age and use in a domestic setting. The undersides are hessian covered and Dreweatts have not inspected any areas of concealed frame and therefore cannot guarantee there originality or give any comments as to condition. Colour of fabric is vibrant, braiding at width of fabric. No obvious rips, tears or damages to fabric. Seems to be a piece missing to right foot. Otherwise in good condition.
