Restoration throughout. Sections of brass stringing replaced and stuck down. Sections of veneer missing or replaced. Sections of later moulding added. Further fading and colour loss. A Victorian Walnut Framed Chair Back Settee, 3rd quarter 19th century, upholstered in beige velvet fabric, with padded back support and overstuffed serpentine shaped seat, raised on cabriole forelegs with scrolling toes and castors, 180cm by 64cm by 104cm Upholstery reasonable with slight marks and staining around the seat, the back of the sofa with further scuff marks. Framework has been restored, but with lightly varnished, stained finish but still variations in colour. Repairs include arm support, support top rail, natural? gaps in the joints and small losses/repairs to carved detail, including the legs. 290113
