A WILLIAM IV MAHOGANY SOFA CIRCA 1830The crest centred with a shell flanked by stylised reeded scrolls and roundels, the reeded feet with brass castors96cm high, 205cm wide, 63cm deepCondition Report: There are some marks, scratches, knocks, chips, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use.Some damage and repair to the show frame scroll facings. The corner quadrant reeded mouldings are detached (traces of bluetac!) but present. Overall the frame is clean, repolished and repaired. There are some cracks to one leg and the casters appear to be later replacements.Sun fading to one side of the upholstery and seat rail timber.The upholstery is pale green velvet, and hard upholstered with horsehair.
